this should work great with a huge mp3 collection, around 450 GB located on two hard drives. hoping to move all of it to the external

With so many years’ collecting, large amount of music may be duplicated. Audio Comparer can easily identify similar music even when the music has different titles. It is quite a good program for me to clear up duplicate music files.

Audio Comparer is very useful for clearing up my music. It can identify the difference between similar files. You can use it to directly identify different files and you don’t need to re-start the titles. As for the similar files, you can do some basic operations with them, like deletion. Though my computer had a long history, it can still work quickly. With other similar programs I know, they can only find out files completely the same. Though some MP3s sound almost the same, they are rarely identical. Those programs may fail to identify them. So I support this program.

Audio Comparer is an audio comparison program that others can’t ever reach. It is special for the method of listening into the music to find out duplicates, not just by tag or CRC comparisons. It can work quickly and accurately, but there are also some defects: it may forget to delete duplicate files sometimes, and the guidance is not so clear. It is worth to have a try. But I won’t buy it until it can do better.
